Can you still use Maya with gaming sites?
The BSP's Memorandum M-2025-029 (August 2025) required e-wallets and banks to take down in-app links to online gambling platforms, and Maya removed its gaming shortcuts. As of October 2026, you can't reach a casino from inside Maya. Whether a licensed site still takes Maya at its own cashier depends on that site, and we don't claim that any particular site, Bet88 included, does. Look at the cashier in your account before you plan around it.
Get your Maya account ready
- Upgrade with a valid ID. Upgraded Maya accounts have higher limits and are more likely to be able to receive payouts. Check the current limits inside the Maya app.
- Match your names exactly. Your Maya name and your gaming account name should be identical, including middle name if the site asked for it.
- Verify the site. Use the Legit Check and the four manual checks before any payment.
How a legit Maya payment should go
- Open the site yourself and go to its cashier. Choose Maya only if it's listed there.
- Look for a merchant checkout. You should see a Maya payment page or QR code under a business name, not a person's name or a 09xx number.
- Approve inside the official Maya app. Don't enter your login or OTP on a page sent through chat.
- Screenshot the result in both Maya and your gaming account history.
For withdrawals, send only to your own upgraded Maya number. If one gets stuck, the withdrawal guide lists the usual causes.

Walang "mas swerte" na wallet. The practical tip is to choose one that's already fully verified in your name and use it for both deposits and withdrawals, so your records line up. The GCash version is in our GCash guide.
Maya scams to watch out for
- A "CSR" or "agent" asking you to send to their personal Maya.
- A text saying your Maya will be suspended unless you log in through a link.
- A "release fee" for a win, payable by Maya.
- Someone offering money to borrow your upgraded Maya account.
If it happened to you, report it in the Maya app's official help channel right away and call the CICC hotline 1326.
