How is Color Game played?
Three dice, each painted with the same six colors — commonly yellow, white, pink, blue, red and green. You place chips on one or more colors. The dice are dropped (or shaken in a cage), and every color on the board is paid based on how many of the three dice land with that color on top.
Online, you'll see two styles: a live version with a host and physical dice on camera, and an RNG version run by software. The probabilities are identical as long as the payouts match.
What does each Color Game result pay, and what's the edge?
Each die has 6 faces, so three dice make 6 × 6 × 6 = 216 equally likely results. For any single color:
| Dice showing your color | Ways (of 216) | Chance | Pays | Net per ₱1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| None | 125 | 57.87% | Lose | −₱1 |
| One | 75 | 34.72% | 1:1 | +₱1 |
| Two | 15 | 6.94% | 2:1 | +₱2 |
| Three | 1 | 0.46% | 3:1 | +₱3 |
Expected value: (−125 + 75 + 2×15 + 3×1) ÷ 216 = −17/216 ≈ −7.87%. That's nearly three times the cost of European roulette per peso bet.
Why so expensive? Your color shows on at least one die only 91/216 ≈ 42.1% of the time. The doubles and triples help, but not enough to cover the 57.9% of rounds where you get nothing.
Some online versions add random multipliers or different payouts. That changes the math — read the game's paytable.
What does a ₱50-per-round session cost?
- One round, ₱50 on red: red on one die returns ₱100, on two dice ₱150, on all three ₱200. No red: you lose ₱50.
- Expected cost per round: ₱50 × 7.87% ≈ ₱3.94.
- 30 rounds (₱1,500 wagered): about ₱118 expected loss.
- Two colors at ₱50 each: you wager ₱100 per round, so the expected cost doubles to about ₱7.87 per round. Covering more colors never lowers the percentage.
Do color patterns or doubling up work in Color Game?
- "Tatlong rounds nang walang green — lalabas na 'yan." The dice don't remember. Green still has the same 42.1% chance of appearing on at least one die next round.
- "Tayaan lahat ng kulay, sigurado may panalo." True that something always wins, but if you bet ₱10 on all six, you get ₱60 back only when the three dice show three different colors. Any double or triple returns less. Net result: still −7.87%.
- Martingale. Your color misses about 58% of the time, so six straight misses happen roughly once every 27 attempts (0.57876 ≈ 3.7%). Starting at ₱50, that's ₱3,150 gone and a ₱3,200 seventh bet just to net ₱50.
- "Signal" and prediction groups. Fair dice and certified RNGs can't be predicted. Paid tips are a business, not a strategy.
